it's still under construction though in some places so the focus has been on that recently rather than school events and stuff, if you want to meet more of the students you can hang around at kokoro a lot or come to a place called Fluffy Beach which is owned by 2 of the students (Nezu and Nuzzia) with parcels around it owned by more students (Fritter, Nise and lily)

hey there Luna sorry took so long to respond i forgot my password and then realised i can go to kokoro ingame and just reset it super easy, i'm in the UK too but i usually end up wrecking my sleeping pattern just so i can hang out with friends so it's good to see more people i could meet in the same timezone as me
