    Ticket System

We're thinking about a new system is being thought about that would affect the way that new visitors visit the School Campus

    The Problem

When Kokoro's doors were open, we would often have guests who would come to 'be around' our students, but would not make an effort to socialize or let our students get to know them. This resulted in social suffocation as nobody wants to talk about personal matters with their friends around strangers.

Kokoro became busier in recent months and had started to see heavier traffic, we began to see crowds forming on campus of effectively strangers who are not integrated into Kokoro. Such people often gain a sense of entitlement from simply having spent time being there which as an admin means constantly confronting people about their behavior and trying to get them integrated which can be overwhelming.

In the end the requirement for so much active effort on our side and what students were putting up with became too much and we simply closed our doors. That is a problem in itself as it stops new people from having a chance.

    The Proposed Solution

We would have a ticket system at Seiiki's Cable Car Station. Guests who are not students would be required to obtain a ticket from the ticket machine to pass through the ticket barriers and travel into school grounds on the cable car. The machine would only issue a limited number of these tickets per guest per month.

By limiting how often a guest can visit school grounds per month by default, it changes our relationship with problematic guests and places the burden of making an effort and integration on them. A guest would therefor have to show enough good will during their stay that students will vouch for them to stay and be given a chance.

It is hoped that such a solution would reduce the stress felt by us as sim traffic increases providing a more manageable situation to socialization of guests - We want to grow our community and welcome new people in, but we want to do it at a sustainable rate and maintain an enjoyable environment for our students.
