Kokoro Academy recognizes and accepts the benefits of alt accounts both for maintaining different characters with different personas and also for visiting with some anonymity. In the interest of making things fair for existing students and prospective students, we differentiate between alts made for role-play purposes and alts made for the purpose of starting anew. Depending on the primary purpose of the alt, will determine if you can obtain a Uniform for your alt as an existing student. Alts made for Role-play Purposes If the account is purely for role-play purposes, you may be granted a Uniform for your alt without going through Enrolment. We consider your alt account to be for role-play purposes if the following statements are true:- You don't mind if other guests are told you are an alt and know what your other account(s) are. If asked by a student or guest, you would be happy to let them know that you are an alt and of which account. In general, we would not go out of our way to publicise that you have received a Uniform or that your account is an alt, but may mention it casually or if someone asks us. We might also mention it to people for the sake of putting prospective students at ease that we have not forgotten them or existing students so they know we're not enrolling lots of people without them going through the procedures. We need to be reasonably confident that the account is indeed your alt. Also, we are likely to limit the number of alts and the frequency of which we issue Uniforms. There is no guarantee that we will give your alt a Uniform. Alts made to start anew If the account was made with the intention of being anonymous, you will need to go through the standard Enrolment procedure. You do not need to tell us that your account is an alt, students and staff are expected to give guests benefit of the doubt and treat them as new guests rather than accuse visitors of being alts. Indeed, if you do tell us, we can not guarantee it will be kept a secret as in the end remembering what is and isn't a secret is hard and students/staff may simply not want to be burdened with remembering what is and isn't a secret/maintaining your secrets. We would advise our students that making new accounts for the purpose of starting anew can be fun to take a break for a while, but as a permanent escape plan is not a good idea. We're pretty tight knit and people tend to find these things out after a while, often by accident. Maintaining a secret for a short time is easy, but for a long time is nearly impossible. It's better to face whatever troubles you head on. Speak to Captain if you need help getting out of a mess!

Minor quality of life improvement with the greeter this morning,
The messages are delayed so they don't get buried among messages like your hair initializing or your collar telling you what it's set to do or missed messages etc. The messages will start arriving after 10s instead with some delay between each so there's a chance to read them.
The who's on sim message will arrive last so it'll be easy to find in the chat.

How we use RLVa So that guests can enjoy privacy within our sim, we limit the distance users can cam in our sim using RLVa. We also have an optional RLVa feature to adjust your Windlight automatically to that of the sims. To turn RLVa Windlight features on and off respectively, type one of the following commands into the chat. Windlight On /50 won Windlight Off /50 woff Things to know about RLVa RLVa allows scripted objects to interact with your viewer directly and change your experience of the world in many ways. Can any object control my viewer using RLVa? No. Only worn attachments can interact with your viewer using RLVa. Wearing an item that acts as an RLV Relay such as a collar can allow external objects to interact with your viewer. Kokoro Academy's HUD does not provide RLV Relay functionality. You do not need a relay to participate at Kokoro. How to Enable RLVa You will need an RLVa compatible third party viewer. We recommend Firestorm. To enable RLVa in Firestorm, go to Avatar > Preferences > Firestorm and check Allow Remote Scripted Viewer Controls (RLVa). Restart your viewer when prompted. Exiting Kokoro Academy Due to a bug in some viewers, camera restrictions may incorrectly remain applied when leaving our sim. Use Safe Exit when leaving the region to prevent the bug from occurring. If you cause the bug to occur by accident, simply re-logging will fix the issue of the restrictions remaining in place.

Looking back at 2021 2021 is drawing to a close and we're about to enter the year 2022! Some of you speedy time travelers are already there! We haven't been doing year reviews lately, but a lot has happened at Kokoro over the course of the past year, and I thought this year it would be worth covering some of those things! So many new students have joined us This year we have seen way more new faces than usual, many of which have went on to become enrolled students at our school! I would like to start celebrating our students more, so I would like to show all of the people who joined captains books this year! Mirara Nise Snow Garguile (Later known as Nezu!) Kaguya Nuzzia Mizuki Pururin Remeindre Duckie Amaya Scylla Lyra ZeFritter Caero Scribbles Cereil Our students are all an important part of Kokoro, without them Kokoro would not be a very interesting place to be! We had our first ever Official Yearbook Photo! Many of our students old and new gathered for a Yearbook Photo this year! Entertainment before the Photo~ We've been a busy school with Clubs and Activities For the first time in Kokoro's history, we have had active clubs for students to participate in, several of which have been opened by our students! We have Dance Club headed by Pururin, Photography Club by Maki and Duckie launched Curry Club! Photography Club putting on an Awesome Halloween Dance Event at Kokoro So many people came to spend Halloween at Kokoro and see the Dance Event~ Decoration Club put together wonderful Christmas Decorations, where we spent much of Christmas together~ Nezu and Duckie putting on a Christmas Play~ We formed a new Student Council which has been hard at work A functioning Student Council has been formed at Kokoro that has been having meetings several times a month this year. With the aid of the council, many new things have been developed and more planned for Kokoro. We've put together an official Enrolment policy which has helped to make it easier for new guests to integrate and become a part of Kokoro. As a result, many more students than usual have joined us! We've been working on things to support teaching at Kokoro too! We have also been planning the development of Seiiki, the town island! We finally got our Male Uniforms! This year, Kokoro finally got its male uniforms! We have already seen students start to adopt them and we hope you enjoy them! ...And a new Cable Car Station This year saw the development and installation of Kokoro's new Cable Car Station in Seiiki! The station is a custom mesh with materials where new building techniques were tested~ Ni provided us with ticket machines too! With the station we also deloped a Ticket System that helps us to maintain customs and traditions at our school, as we work to turn our school into a students first environment~ 2022 We're working on building a town for our students to live in! This year, we intend to place much of our focus on Seiiki, our town island. Specifically, we will be developing the side of the island from the Heliport up to the station, turning it from an empty path to a vibrant town! We want to build many different types of shops, mostly roleplay but some otherwise. We also hope to develop student accommodation above the shops, that we hope our students will feel happy to call home~ We also have plans to build a new visitor center and function hall of sorts! Although not much building wise is planned for our campus island this year, we hope to work on the community side of things and begin to enable more activities such as teaching at our school! A personal message To each and every one of our students, I am sure that there will be many challenges ahead that the year will bring each of you as individuals, but I want you all to know that you are not alone. Kokoro and your Captain are here for each and every one of you, and we will face the challenges that the year brings together. I hope to help make sure that each and every one of you does not just survive, but thrives in 2022! Get your sleep and do your exercises! No seriously, it will help make sure that you are better prepared to deal with whatever the world might throw at you, and make sure you are in a good state of mind not just to help yourself but those around you. With that bit of realism out of the way, I do hope that all of you do have a great year, and I hope we will have as much fun in 2022 as we did in 2021! I really enjoyed this year. A new ambient sound system has been built into the School HUD! Depending on where you are, and the time of the day you will hear different ambient sounds as you wander throughout our sim. Try having a wander! It is hoped that with these ambient sounds, it will help provide a sense of atmosphere, and also enhance a sense of space as they drown out distant sounds that would otherwise be heard in a vacuum. Comfortable Listening We hope that most people will enjoy the new sounds throughout the sim, but recognize that with listening devices such as closed back headphones ambient sounds can create a pressure within the cup that can result in discomfort depending on the individual. We have provided a set of commands that can be used to adjust the volume of ambience to a comfortable level for your listening, or mute if desired. Just type one of the following commands into the chat: /1 amb.high Set ambient volume to High /1 amb.med Set ambient volume to Medium /1 amb.low Set ambient volume to Low /1 amb.off Turn off ambient sounds By default, Ambient sound volume is set to Medium. The HUD will remember your preference.

Big Problems, Small Solutions
It may seem like one huge insurmountable problem.
The reality is that it is made of many smaller easier problems.
If you are ever feeling like you have a hopelessly difficult task, remember it does not have to all be solved at once. You can be break it down into smaller tasks. Many of which can be shared with those around you. You are not alone.

Did lots of texture optimization/channel packing for the cable car station. Roof textures, wall textures, tiles, signage texture inworld now. Also did the LOD's/Physics for the Pillars, which are also inworld

Currently, Kokoro does not have an official Cheerleader outfit There are a couple of Cheerleader outfits out there for Kemono, but they're each not the best for different reasons. We did have a texture mod for a couple of fitted torso items, but the creator of the fitted torso retired their store. I will make a Cheerleader outfit for the club, but making clothes takes time and my timescales are not always too predictable. It is likely to be some time during 2022. I hope that will be OK.
